Is this Erigeron compactus (Fern-leaf Fleabane)?

I photographed this flower on a dry ridge south of Sweathouse Creek at mid-elevation. I haven't been able to find a good photo of Erigeron compactus (Fern-leaf Fleabane) but the description sounds like this flower. Anyone out there know?

HI Merle,
I have several books and do not have a good photo of the fern-leaf fleabane. I have one of the E. lanatus -wooly fleabane that is very similar. Great photos. I am going to be making my shadowboxes with the dried wild flowers again this year - We will have to get together and share photos!

Deana, I found a photo of E. lanatus on the internet and the leaf shape is right on. The only difference is their photo flower has longer, white petals. My photo and all the plants in that area have very short petals and they are pink. Hmmm.

Thanks for the tip! It is the only photo I have been able to find that shows the leaves well enough. Very cool.
I love your shadowboxes. I am glad you are still doing them.
