On my hike today...the snow is melting, the sun was out.

A beautiful day. It is still cool in the trees and the lichen on the branches was a lively green.

I read your post about Bela and you have my sympathies and understandings too. My wife and I lost our beloved "Pouie," a chow-chow, this past summer. He LOVED his morning hikes along the Bitterroot River! We live on the river's east side just across from Lolo. There is no love that is more pure than that of a pet.
