We floated and fished the Bitterroot River yesterday. The water was high, but clear. That meant we had debris to dodge - new trees and wood lodged in the river - but lots of wildlife and bugs to see and fish to be caught. This slideshow focuses on the whitetail doe we saw. To see a blog about the fishing visit our Montana Fly Fishing Blog entry for this day.

Merle Ann Loman lives in the Bitterroot Valley located south of Missoula in western Montana. This blog starts here, but will also travel the world. She loves being outdoors hiking, biking, fishes, hunting, skiing and always taking photos. As much time as she spend outdoors, one needs to eat. You will see entries about foods that travel well, making it much more fun to spend long periods of time exploring our flora and fauna.

man, that's a pretty doe, great color.
Thanks Ronnie. That is a compliment coming from a "black & white" photographer. Thanks for visiting my photoblog. I am learning every day...maybe someday I will be nearly as good as you!
