I want to share photos and stories of flora and fauna I see on my outdoor adventures. As I work from home in the Bitterroots, my focus is there. I will also add photos and stories from travel and from friends and family.
Because I am working with photos, I plan to use various photo websites and applications. I will provide reviews of their features, what I like, what I don't like, and probably what I would wish for. It will be information and ratings based on my experiences uploading, processing, organizing, creating slideshows, etc. It should be interesting!
Merle Ann Loman lives in the Bitterroot Valley located south of Missoula in western Montana. This blog starts here, but will also travel the world. She loves being outdoors hiking, biking, fishes, hunting, skiing and always taking photos. As much time as she spend outdoors, one needs to eat. You will see entries about foods that travel well, making it much more fun to spend long periods of time exploring our flora and fauna.

About Merle Ann Loman
Welcome
My name is Merle Ann Loman. I grew up in a small western Montana town, Ronan and studied at the University of Montana. My most significant work experience has been with the United States Forest Service and the Department of Interior mostly in fire and emergency management. In that experience, I designed and managed computer programs that tracked resources used and needed for incidents and project work. Most projects involved extensive travel. I loved seeing other places, but now I am more interested in being a tourist and working from home.
Why? Because my two daughters attend the University of Montana in Missoula and Jack Mauer and I have a home south of Missoula near Victor, Montana. By working at home in computer web design, I am able to enjoy our families, home, the mountains, and the rivers. This is exactly the life I had dreamed of.
